All Puffed Up and Nowhere to Go

A challenge was made. The gauntlet was thrown. The chicken was puffed. A confrontation was inevitable.

So why didn’t it happen?

Puffy Chicken publicly called for Coupedeville’s savior, Captain Inevitable, to meet him in a “showdown of righteous fury”. This clash of titans was to take place in Central Park at noon on Monday, June 28. Many spectators gathered on the steps of the library, across from the park, to watch. All were sadly disappointed when Captain Inevitable failed to show.

Mr. Chicken left the park at 12:03 pm, stating, “Evil-doers never show.”

Now the question plaguing everyone is “Where is Captain Inevitable?”

The coward has left town, that’s where he is! Evil-doers never hold up to their obligations. Once I returned to protect this town, the scum tucked tail and ran!

Yes, good citizens, I have earned your one-fingered salutes this day. That diabolic fiend will no longer trouble you.
