Ruffled Feathers

Coupdeville’s very own Puffy Chicken is hopping mad.
In the interest of public safety, Captain Inevitable has confiscated the puffy one’s
toy wooden gun which has been the bane of many a posterior here in our fair city. The
so-called “Rubber Band of Righteousness Launcher” has been missing since last
night when the Captain took it to an undisclosed location for safety reasons.
Mr. Chicken had this to say about the Captain during a late night news conference:
“He is a charlatan! A most foul evil-doer in disguise! Without the sacred Launcher,
the Rubber Band of Righteousness is practically useless in my efforts to rid our fair city
of such heinous individuals as Lame Duck, and now this up-start Captain Inevitable!
Justice will be mine! I swear by all that is holy that I shall smite this villain with all
my righteous fury!”
It was at this point that Puffy Chicken attempted to demonstrate his feelings on this
matter by pounding his fist on the podium. Fortunately, Captain Inevitable appeared to
whisk the podium to “a place of safety”. Mr. Chicken was, once again, caught
off-guard and promptly landed on the floor amidst a plume of white downy feathers.
The podium has not yet been recovered, and thankfully, neither had that detestable toy
gun.

Toy gun?! That is a most sacred relic, madam! Hand carved from the rare loblolly pine, it
is an instrument of righteous fury and supreme justice!
That evil-doer may have taken my launcher, but I have ways of continuing my pursuit of
truth, justice, and the Coupdevillian way!
